Wizards and Witches Weekly coming to the Newmarket Recreation Center in October!
Newmarket Recreation has a brand new program for young aspiring Witches and Wizards. Join Miss Feather for an afternoon of games, crafts, and outdoor activities that will blow your mind! Each week we will meet to socialize and have fun with friends while we share our favorite magical stories. If you love Harry Potter, The Worst Witch, Land of Stories, Dragon Watch, Goose Bumps, Labyrinth, Fablehaven, Lord of the Rings and fantasy stories, this is the group for you! Come dressed as a muggle or wear your favorite magical garb and be prepared to have an excellent time with new friends. This class meets once a week every Friday from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ages 8-12. You may sign up for 4 weeks at a time.

Heidi Heckelbeck Homeschool Reading Group coming to Newmarket Recreation in September!
Join peers each week to read and enjoy a fun activity. Read the book of the week prior to joining friends in class. When you arrive be prepared to have fun. We will discuss the book, take turns reading aloud for reading practice, enjoy a fun activity together and take a woods walk or play on the playground. If you enjoy reading, art, and outdoor fun you have found the right group for you! This class meets once a week every Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Ages 7-10. Class meets for 4 weeks. Coastal News Homeschool Newspaper is coming to the Newmarket Recreation Center in September!
If you are a Homeschool student between the ages of 8 and 12 who enjoys writing and being involved in the community please check out our weekly meeting being held at Newmarket Recreation. Students will engage in writing exercises, brainstorm sessions for articles, poems, fiction stories, cartoons, practice interviewing skills and so much more! Learn to work independently and to collaborate with peers to produce our newspaper in a supportive and engaging environment.

When you arrive in class we will discuss the book, take turns reading aloud for reading practice, enjoy a journal activity together, play a fun game like the Hocus Pocus board game, take a Worst Witch trivia quiz, then take a woods walk or play on the playground. If you enjoy reading, making new friends and outdoor fun you have found the right group for you! This class meets once a week every Wednesday from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from September though end of May. Ages 8 to 12. You may sign up for 4 weeks at a time. Do you LOVE being outside in all types of weather? If you do, have I found the group for you! Each week we meet to sing, dance, play, run, create, solve problems and engage in a myriad of activities. We spend our time engaging in outdoor activities while we learn using the natural setting outdoors and the beautiful Newmarket Recreation facility.
SATURDAY
Forest Fairies
Girls Ages 6-12
10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m
Junior Forest Fairies are mentored by senior Forest Fairies building a sense of empathy, self esteem, and trust among our group. We are here to learn, grow and support each other!
Join fellow Forest Fairies for a morning of outdoor adventure, Science, Art and friendship with Heather. Our day together will include time in the dance studio or outdoor stage, woods walks, fort building, time collecting specimens to view under the USB microscope, painting, nature journals, mandala art and so much more.
